Formwork Begins

Our lovely neighbours messaged on Friday to let us know that the formwork for our house was being done on Friday but we couldn't get out there until Saturday morning to check it out and take some photos.

 

Such a shame that it then rained all day Saturday and Sunday so hopefully it dries out enough for piering and slab soon

Site scrape

Today our site scrape begun. Here's a picture below when I went to see the block earlier today:

Portaloo and Site fence!

Finally some action on the land this week. We now have a portaloo, site fence, sediment barrier and Wisdom sign!

Admin update!

We have finally received our construction plans and end panel documents from our cso.

We are so excited that something will be happening on our land soon

We have pegs

Our lovely neighbor messaged us on the homeone forum to let us know that we have pegs so of course I had to go and check it out.

We also have a pile of rubble on our land.

Timpelle Kitchens and Dilorenzo Appointments

We had two appointments in the one day today. Started with the kitchen appointment and decided that there are a few things that we really want:
*Waterfall edge to both sides of the island
*Silk finish laminex for the cupboard doors
*Extend island overhang to 300mm instead of the 200mm

At the tile appointment we decided on the bathroom, ensuite, laundry and porch tiles. We have deleted the main floor tiles and all carpet from our contract as we plan to do them after handover.

Hoping that we get out of council soon

More council dilemmas

We were told yesterday that council needed more information as our house is in a bushfire prone area as well as our alfresco has privacy issues.

We already knew about the bushfire requirements so that was okay. In regards to the alfresco, council gave us the option of lowering the roof or installing privacy screens. We have decided to install privacy screens after handover.

Hopefully after this everything gets approved!
